Deercook Getting Ready for Two Shows

The DeerCook is getting ready for two upcoming Deer Shows for the weekend of July 18,19 ,20. One is in Nashville Tn and the other is in Birmingham, Al. We will have a booth at each event so stop by and let us know you saw this listing. The shows need your support and are a good chance for you to see the latest items available to the deer hunter. MODISETT, Gary K. Widely known as "The Deer Cook", passed away on August 19, 2008. He was born in Fayetteville, NC on July 15, 1949 to Donita and Tom Modisett of Sycamore Farms in Deer Creek, IN. He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Irene; their daughter, Andrea Lee (Kenny) Corbitt; his grandson, Drew Corbitt; his brother, Tom (Suzi) Modisett and nephews, Corey and Johnathan Modisett. Gary graduated in 1973 from Southern Illinois University. He was the owner of deercook.com, a retail spice and seasoning company geared toward wild game hunters. As "The Deer Cook", he was a frequent guest on several local TV shows. He gave his time as a cook on numerous mission trips to Mexico and hunting trips with friends. Gary's quick-witted sense of humor constantly entertained family and friends wherever he went. A Memorial service will be held at Calvary Chapel at Rivergate, in Goodlettsville, TN on Monday, August 25, 2008 at 6 p.m.. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mission Discovery, 1509 Hunt Club Blvd., Ste. 1200, Gallatin, TN 37066. He will be interred at Hopewell Cemetery in Deer Creek, IN. I would like to know the ingredients in the Deer Cook Chili Seasoning. I don't have the old bottle and I really loved it.
